Samuel (Sam) Allardyce is an English football manager and former professional players. Samuel was born October 19, 1954. former manager of Bolton Wanderers, Newcastle United from 1999-2007 and 2007-2008. He took Bolton to a League Cup final as well as guiding them to UEFA Cup qualification for the first time in their history. He is often referred to by nicknames (Big Sam). Samuel Allardyce was appointed manager of Blackburn Rovers on a three-year contract on December 17, 2008.
